The Role
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key accounts within the electrical wholesale sector. This role involves understanding client needs, providing tailored solutions, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, technical knowledge of electrical products, and excellent relationship-building skills.
Main Duties
Although not exhaustive, the key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Relationship Management:
-
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, including electrical contractors, industrial clients, and large-scale project managers.

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.

Conduct regular account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.

Sales and Business Development:

Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share within key accounts.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential new key clients.

Drive for F2F presence across senior stakeholders and support regional teams on executing agreed actions.

Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.

Negotiate Commercial agreements / pricing agreements with key clients.

Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities, and review with customer in business reviews meetings

Product Knowledge and Technical Support:

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's electrical product offerings, including new technologies and industry trends.

Provide technical advice and product recommendations to clients.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and threats.

Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.

Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams on customer requirements and market insights.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with internal departments, including sales, marketing, purchasing, and logistics, to ensure seamless customer service.

Coordinate with suppliers to resolve product issues and ensure timely delivery.

Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote the company's products and services.

Customer Service:

Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure all client orders are processed correctly and on time.

Provide excellent after sales support.

Candidate Profile

Strong understanding of electrical products and applications.

Proven experience in B2B sales and business development.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s licence.
